Macs and the environment
Using Apple products can help your company reduce your company's carbon footprint. Apple takes environmental responsibility seriously, and designs products with their environmental impact at the forefront. Their life cycle analysis is a cradle to grave philosophy, it accounts for all emissions associated with their products, including raw material extraction, manufacturing, packaging, transportation, daily use and recycling.
Every Mac is Energy Star compliant, meaning that they meet the stringent low power requirements set by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). All Macs are free of brominated flame retardants (BFRs), PVC and lead. Apple also uses mercury-free displays and use arsenic-free glass in all of their product lines. Additionally, because all Macs are made from materials such as aluminium and glass, they are more likely to be recycled and re-used at the end of their lengthy and productive lives.
